Meet Our Creative Minds Team

Teachers make a difference to our program. Our teachers offer their own unique creative touches to their classrooms and our environments. They help plan the art program, have a generous budget for educational and art supplies and are committed to keeping our program innovative. They are all certified with the State of Oregon, and hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and/or have years of experience working with children, have passed a criminal background check and are required to hold a Love and Logic Certification, Food Handler's, First Aid and CPR cards at our company. We require a professional dress code with a uniform so you can easily identify a member of our staff at any time. We provide our teachers with competitive wages and benefits and offer growth opportunities for a long term career with CMLC! We love our teachers!

Every Quarter we like to feature Teachers & their Classrooms, from each of the schools. Click "Featured" links below to view their stories.

Kayla enjoys how honest children are. "It's the simple things that amaze them. They are always saying silly things, and I love watching them grasp new concepts. Estera

Woodstock Assistant Director and Toddler Teacher

My name is Estera I was born and raised in a family of ten sisters and three brothers. Growing up in a large family I have learned to respect, love and care for others. When I was younger I remember how much I loved playing teacher with my siblings. I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a preschool teacher. My dream became a reality when I went to high school. There I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Reynolds Preschool. I was dedicated and motivated to learn about children and their development. So I decided to volunteer at that preschool for 2 and a half years. Once I finally graduated high school with a major in Early Childhood Education. I was off to college to gain even more knowledge. I started to volunteer in Head Start at Mt. Hood Community College. In 2013 I graduated from Mt. Hood with an Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education. On September 13th, 2013 I was hired at Creative Minds Learning Center. It's such a blessing to be here and work with our Woodstock families. I've enjoyed every minute of it. I thank you! Teaching is a passion of mine, I don't see myself doing anything else. I believe that every teacher needs to be nurturing, respectful and a life long learner. These are all characteristics that I acquire and will continue to put into action.

Brooke

Woodstock
Pre-K Co-Teacher

"When I was very young I always wanted to be just like my mom. When asking myself how to be just that, I knew that my mom one who was overly loving and caring. Today I am thankful every day that I had the mother I did because she taught me the skills I never knew I would value so much to this day. I remember how much I loved to take care of people and animals and I have her to thank for teaching me how to love. I will never forget the day my teacher told me that I should be a teacher. I knew she was right but I didn't believe it would actually happen, and yet here I am in the future using skills that have been taught to me from people who were meant to be a part of my story. I am not a mother yet but I am a teacher and I love all children like they are my own." -Teacher Brooke
